Hey guys,
I wanted to use this Wall Feed Module for showing all posts that are made on my fanpage. But since a fanpage doesn't have a Facebook-ID and I can't create Apps through my fanpage I am a bit confused :/
As I don't want to Wall feed my personal postings, how can I make this module to show all postings from my fanpage?
WHere do I get the App-ID, App-Secret, Access-Token and User-ID?

Thank you for your help

Kinde regards
Ben

This is by design of Facebook. You have to use the FB account, which has full access to your Fan page. When you create dev account + application and log in via FB in Joomla administration for this module, it will list all your pages and you can tick only one fan page for example.

Hi Cyberluke,

thanks for your answer. Unfortunately as I click on "Log in with Facebook" the following error appears:

One or more of the given URLs is not allowed by the App's settings. It must match the Website URL or Canvas URL, or the domain must be a subdomain of one of the App's domains.

I really don't know what to change.
Hope you can help me here.

Thank you very much and kindest regards,
Ben

Yeah, I googled this out yesterday. Please don't fill the domain in Facebook Application Settings. It's not mandatory! Leave it blank and it will work.

I have also fixed a few bugs in CURL_OPTS, Access Token (FB Login button not returning the access token) and fixed other things, so it works on Joomla 3.1.5 I have sent it to the author, but he didn't prolly have time to answer.

Here's Joomla 3.1.5 with this plugin in action: http://www.cyberluke-dsp.com/news

Hi, I have tried adding the App ID and Secret to the configuration in the component setting in Joomla 2.5 and it isnt working.
www.signs-services.co.uk/administrator/i...yout=edit&id=256

I have also tried it without adding the URL in facebook app settings and still getting the same error as mentioned above.
It is a business (fan) page which I am trying to configure: www.facebook.com/signsservicesltd?fref=ts
I dont have access to the personal page for this fan page though, would I need this? I am testing with my own personal fan page, would this be a problem?
Hope this makes sense. Thanks.

Hi stelco,
If you use the original Facebook WallFeed module for Joomla 2.5, please make sure you paste the domain (signs-services.co.uk) and the site url (www.signs-services.co.uk/).

When all settings is correct but you still not get access token, please make sure: the PHP must support cURL and JSON; The host must not deny outgoing post - If you use free host, share host or some cloud host, this may happen. The proxy of server also cause this problem.

Thanks

Hi I have followed these instructions and cURL and JSON are supported
www.signs-services.co.uk/json.php
www.signs-services.co.uk/curl.php

Still getting the error message:
Given URL is not permitted by the application configuration.: One or more of the given URLs is not allowed by the App's settings. It must match the Website URL or Canvas URL, or the domain must be a subdomain of one of the App's domains.

Would the fact that I am using my personal fb account to test it rather than signs-services personal fb account? The reason I am doing this is because I only have access to signs-services fb fan (business) page and not their personal page. Its actually their fan page which needs setting up with wall feed but I believe you can only generate ID and Secret through the personal page? Thanks.

Please don't fill the domain in Facebook Application Settings. It's not mandatory! Leave it blank and it will work. Facebook should provide a better explanation of these parameters. I had to do it by trial & error, before it started to work. You always use your personal FB account and other things like fan pages/company pages will show in Joomla administration after you get the login process working. Fan page is always connected to some personal accoutn (someone is admin).

All up and running now. Turns out that I needed access to the personal facebook account to get the API key. I could then select the business/fan page from the modules configuration once key was accepted. Thanks.
